The E-Twow Brand

The E-Twow (Electric Two Wheels) brand, headquartered in China, is dedicated to sustainable urban mobility. Responsible for design and construction is the Romanian Sorin Sirbu, who invented the first e-scooter with a range of 7-8 kilometers in 2013 initially for personal use, to move practically and efficiently in his hometown of Shanghai. Early on, the E-Twow e-scooter was distinguished by its kinetic energy recovery system (KERS), which was previously only used in race cars, as well as its lightness, 3-point folding system, and patented UPI (Uniblock Human Interface, referring to the display, brake, and throttle). Over the years, little has changed in the sophisticated design, only in ergonomics and software.
